Vic sat in the large meadow twirling the red rose between his fingertips. Being lost in thought wasn't exactly the best thing to do in his current surroundings, but he tended to do it quite often anyway. Staring at the flower brought back memories. Memories of a time long past. A time where there was peice instead of war. A time he was in love. A good time. With a soft sigh, Vic stood to his feet. No need dwelling on the past anymore. Now was not thee time.

Ambrosia awake with a start. Her breaths came in ragged and short, a cool sweat covered her forehead. Stupid nightmares. They shouldn't have interupted her thoughts while she was asleep. The girl jumped off of the tree limb and surveyed her surroundings. Nothing moving in sight. Grabbing her bomb pouch she made her way toward the open spaces of the plain. She'd spend a while there, bask in the sun a bit, and then head elsewhere for shelter during the night.
Walking quickly and with purpose, she made it to the plain within a half an hour. When she first looked, there was no one else here. That wasn't really a rarity these days. In another five minutes of travel, she saw a flash of movement to her left. Hand flying instinctively to her weapon of choice, she saw that it was merely a man twirling a flower. How... odd. She held her tongue and didn't comment, simply standing there, observing him quietly.

It was quite a nice day outside... The wind brushed against his hair, tousling it lightly. He smiled gently. Today was a new day. Turning around, he saw the most beautiful sight. A girl stood a little ways off to his left. His smile instantly got bigger. "My my, what is this? It seems heaven has lost one of their angels...Such woe... Alas, not for the man lucky enough to sweep this young maiden off her feet." With that, Vic started walking towards her, hand with the rose extended. "Please, fair lady, accept this token of my gratitude for merely giving me the exceptional opportunity of letting me witness such grand beauty." His voice held a certain charm to it, one of which he was blessed with from young childhood.

Ambrosia stood there, momentarily shocked. The feeling ebbed, and she realized what her face must have looked like at that exact moment. Drop jawed, her eyes asking if he was insane, she instantaeneously closed her mouth. What was this guy's problem? Did he do this to everyone? She shook her head, trying to snap out of it. She was obviously still dreaming. People didn't do that in these times... or so she believed.
"Um... I.. don't know how to respond to that..." She scratched the side of her face restlessly. This was a first. She was usually quite the chatterbox.

Vic kept the smile on his face, not phased a bit. "Is that so?" He chuckled lightly and blinked slowly, putting a hand to his chin he did his famous pose. (Should be a pic in the profile of him) "Speechless with wonder I suppose. Do not worry yourself, it is quite natural to act this way in the presence of a man as handsome as I."

Ambrosia was tempted to be rude and laugh aloud; gathering all of the strength she could muster, she managed not to. "No, that's definitely not it. You're a bit of a creep. Then again, that was to be expected from a guy like you. Not to mention how... feminine... you are. I don't find you attractive in the least." That was a bit of a lie, he had nice hair... and a nice voice. Very easy on the ears. Just too... odd.

Vic froze right then and there. In an instant, he was crouched on the green grass faced away from her, a depressing aura surrounding him. He couldn't believe what he was hearing. He sniffled. "You don't mean that, do you? So cruel..." He continued to pout, now in a horrible mood.

Ambrosia's face was all like -.-''. Eyes squinted, a sweat drop dripped down the side of her head. "I.. uh... I didn't mean it... No need to take offense... and pout... and make me feel..." Ah, hell, who was she kidding? She didn't care that she had hurt his feelings, but she couldn't have him sitting there crying for a day! Some people...
"I'm... sorry?"

In a split second, Vic was on his feet all googly-eyed. "Really?! You mean it?? Woohooo!!!" Vic grinned like the idiot he usually was in the presence of a lady, and started towards her again.... to suddenly fall into one of the smaller holes in the ground. With a tiny 'umph!' he fell about six feet down into the ground.

Ambrosia cracked up. That was hilarious, watching a guy fall unto the ground like that. She never had thought that she would get to see it herself. Poor guy... Eh, who was she kidding? He kind of deserved it. "should I help you up? Or do you rather enjoy it down there, Mister Gentleman? I think the 'holey' look rather suits you!" The girl flashed him a sweet smile and stared down at him, not even bothering to make a move toward him.

Vic corrected himself and sat down there a breath away from pouting. However, he decided to be stubborn, stood up, brushes himself off, then proceeds to climb out of the hole. "Well, thanks for the help." He glared at her. He was starting to dislike this girl... So was so cruel..

The redhead paused for a moment, taking in his words. "Did it ever occur to you that perhaps I declined to help you because I figured that a man would be embarrassed to have a woman help him out of a hole that was around his height deep? One with my mentality would assume that, since man typically finds the need to show off his physical capabilities to a woman, you didn't need and/or didn't want my help." Then again, this one was definitely not the typical male.

Vic thought about that for a moment. She was right, after all. He simply shrugged and looked down at his clothes. He sweat-dropped. "Nooo! Not again!" Vic had managed to cover himself in dirt and mud. This was not his day.

Ambrosia raised an eyebrow at the sight. A man complaining because he was dirty? That was certainly a sight to be seen. She began to get the feeling that today was not an ordinary day in the least. "I don't think dirt is your biggest problem..." Ambrosia pointed behind him at an approaching zombie. "He seems to be a bit more determined than those stains will be." She planned to let him handle this, to see how he would react. She'd act if need be, of course, just not if he had this down.

Vic, after ignoring her for a few seconds, finally realized what she had said. He turned around slowly and saw the ugly thing. A determined look set in his eyes and, in one fluid motion, had the hand gun out of hiding from the waistline of his pants. He shot the thing in the head twice and once in he knee for good measure. He was glad he had gotten some practice in earlier that morning. He blew on the top of the gun then put it back into hiding. "I swear those zombies get more irritating every time I see their ugly faces."
